the product description claims it is adjustable to 4, 6 or 8" - i took that to mean it could fit 8" railings, which it doesn't (like all the other products i looked at, it only adjusts to max. 6"). otherwise, it is nice-looking and sturdy. you get extra screws and it is very easy to install.
